ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Based at the Detour Lake Mine site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mine Maintenance Business Process Lead to join our Mobile Maintenance team reporting to the Planning and Reliability Superintendent.

 

Detour Lake is the second largest gold producing mine in Canada with the largest gold reserves and substantial growth potentialThe open pit mine is located in northeastern Ontario, approximately 300 kilometres northeast of Timmins and 185 kilometres by road northeast of Cochrane, within the northernmost Abitibi Greenstone Belt.The mine is situated in the area of the historic Detour Lake open pit/underground mine operated by Placer Dome which produced 1.8 million ounces of gold from 1983 to 1999. The Detour Lake operation has a mine life of approximately 22 years with an average gold production of 659,000 ounces per year.

 

The Mine Maintenance SAP/JDE & Business Process Lead is responsible for oversight, development, gap analysis, implementation and training of SAP and Business processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • SAP and Parts store interface system process (stabilize & transition to JDE)
  • Planning standards implementation and process adherence
  • Parts supersession process
  • 3rd party modules support, maintenance, training / training coordination
    • AIC support/training
    • PSIP support/training
    • Prometheus training
  • Master data support, training and QA/QC
  • New Employees systems Training (SAP, JDE, business processes)
  • SAP & JDE PM module lead
  • Site standards adherence

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Our ideal candidate has:

 

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED;
  • Certification in a Maintenance trade preferred;
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial/ mining setting;
  • Self-starting problem solver approach
  • Proven history of ability to lead and influence without authority
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with inventory management software applications such as SAP;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Valid G Driver’s License;
  • Good work ethic and strong attitude towards safety.
