ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Based at the Macassa Mine Site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our Mobile Maintenance team.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle. Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains on the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.  

The Mobile Maintenance Planner is responsible for the optimisation of the maintenance performance of our Mobile Plant by using best practice maintenance planning and scheduling techniques, and the SAP maintenance management system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage CMMS (SAP) database
  • Develop standard PM templates for jobs that are repetitive where they only need one time planning
  • Establish bills of materials (BOMS) and task lists in SAP
  • ​​​​​​​Establish scheduled maintenance programs and PM's in accordance with OEM requirements
  • Establish preventative maintenance conditions monitoring programs and associated PM's to improve plant and equipment availability
  • Continually renew maintenance intervals to maximise plant availability and determine area of mobile plant improvement
  • Generate reports, graphs and statistical data on plant and equipment as required
  • Report on data collected from condition monitoring program to relevant stakeholders (Mill/Mining Superintendents via Maintenance Manager)
  • Predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling
  • Oversee cataloguing of site based maintenance of equipment information and repair files
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and research
  • Perform work order repairs and adjustments
  • Coordinate breakdown and scheduled maintenance of all light vehicles and mobile equipment, while coordinating scheduled parts storage
  • Coordinate 3rd party statutory testing and inspections of plant and equipment statutory requirements
  • Prepare budget costings as required for scheduled maintenance activities
  • Report to Maintenance General Supervisor of Planning on Maintenance KPI's on daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Produce monthly reports on Maintenance KPI's, costs, spares availability and looming issues for Maintenance Senior Engineer
  • Provide coverage for Supervisory role when required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Trade - Red Seal Certified - Mobile Mechanic (Light duty or Heavy Duty) is a requirement
  • MMC Certificate or higher in Maintenance Planning (PEMAC)
  • Minimum, 5 years' experience Maintenance Planning in a mineral processing plant (preferable gold mining)
  • Minimum 5 years' CMMS experience (preferably SAP)
  • High level of motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Honest and confidential
  • Pro-active, self-started capable of working in a small team of professionals, and
  • Knowledge and understanding of OH&S Act and Regulations of Mines and Mining Plants
  • Ability to build and use Maintenance libraries for repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Ability to write detailed reports as well as good verbal communication
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint
