Location: Macassa Mine, Kirkland Lake, ON

Rotation: Varying, flexibility in schedule preferred.

This role is not a Camp Based opportunity.


Based at the Macassa Mine Site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Attendant to join our Warehouse team for a 6 month contract. The Warehouse Attendant should be prepared to work in either the Underground or Surface Warehouse environment. 


The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle.  Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains one of the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine. 


The Warehouse Attendant will be responsible to receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.



  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to designated storage area. Record inventory in and out as required in SAP.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for people.
  • Assemble orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area for distribution.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Open bales, crates and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Weigh, record, reconcile and count items for distribution within site ensuring conformance to company standards.
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.


  • Proficient in Math and English (Reading and writing)
  • Understanding of SQL inventory data base systems eg SAP
  • Computer skills
  • Capacity to work outdoors in demanding environment
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • High level of motivation – on time with attendance
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. (Verbal, written)
  • Pro-active, self-starter capable of working in a small team.
